Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

“Plastic Paradise” is a documentary that will make you think about how we live our lives today. Every single piece of plastic that has ever been created since the 19th century is still somewhere on our planet. So if it never goes away, where does it go? Angela Sun, an ESPN journalist who discovered the tragedy of this pollution because she loves surfing and diving, explores the truth about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and its effect on wildlife on the island of Midway.

“Plastic Paradise” has received a number of awards and recognitions, including in 2015 and 2014:
Best Cinematography, Global Inheritance Awards; Grand Jury Award-Wild and Scenic Film Festival; Best of Fest Award, Docuwest Film Festival; Best Medium Length Documentary, FICMA, Barcelona International Environmental Film Festival; Best Educational Film, Blue Ocean Film Festival; Best Documentary, Philadelphia Asian Film Festival.
